At 13.15 we will be screening the Georgian anti-war film Tangerines (dir. Zaza Urushadze). Set in the Abhkazia war of 1992-93 the film looks at issues of conflict, peace and most importantly reconciliation. Set in a Russian back separatist region whose population is primarily Estonian, our main character Ivo tends his tangerines. Two Chechen mercenaries show up alongside Georgian soldiers. After injuring each other in the fight, Ivo nurses the respective parties back to health. Make sure to catch Tangerines at the Tolpuddle Radical Film Festival @1315.
