Small Axe Programme @1710

We have three more radical and activist short film for you today before we wrap up Small Axe. On this evening’s bill are Night Shifts (dir. Justyna Kabala) – an atmospheric film about the experience of junior doctors on NHS wards – Under the Shadow of the Wall by Taylor Genovese – another haunting and brooding film about the US-Mexican border wall in the Sonoran desert – and lastly What Travelers are Saying about Jornada del Muerto (dir. Hope Tucker) – a compelling film about nuclear testing in the American desert and its affect on US citizens.

Check out our reviews for the films on the Small Axe website as well as our interview with Taylor Genovese on YouTube. We look forward to seeing you all there!
